Enmity? What is it?

What in the world is enmity?

This is what I thought this morning when I was lead to look at the fruit of the Spirit but my eye wandered to read the works of the flesh.

So, I looked it up and here are a few definitions I found.

💔 the state or feeling of being actively opposed or hostile to someone or something.
💔 positive, active, and typically mutual hatred or ill will
💔a feeling of hate
💔 a state of deep-seated ill-will

There was more, but I think this paints a picture. The first definition really hit me hard.

I hate to leave things ugly and in broken states, so if I don’t want to live with enmity, what do I want? I went looking for the opposite. Why? Because repentance produces change.

If I want to let go of enmity and make a change, what is the goal?

❤️hospitality
❤️friendliness
❤️goodwill
❤️understanding
❤️empathy
❤️amicability

There’s more, but I get the picture. So, join me. Let’s shed enmity from our lives. There is no room for enmity when Love abides in us.

much love,
Andrea 💕
