When I learned this about connection and conversation, it rocked my world. It transformed how I live and how I lead.

The goal of agreement can cause distance, but understanding fosters an environment of connection. There are times I catch myself wanting someone to agree with me, but when I really am honest, it’s because of insecurity. I want to be validated and im placing the weight of my acceptance on another person. That’s not fair to them, and it’s not fair to me.

My value comes from God.

Your value comes from God. My opinions do not dictate your worth or value – and vice versa. Your value comes from Him. Check out Ephesians 5:10

The goal cannot be agreement. We are not always going to agree, but my goal is to understand.
