𝓓𝓲𝓿𝓲𝓷𝓮 𝓦𝓲𝓼𝓭𝓸𝓶

𝑾𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎 is defined as:

1. ability to discern inner qualities and relationships
2. marked by deep understanding, keen discernment, and a capacity for sound judgment

𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆 is defined as:

1. the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association
2. the sum of what is known : the body of truth, information, and principles acquired by humankind

and

𝑼𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 is defined as the power to make experience intelligible by applying concepts and categories.

Those who know me can attest that I love the book of Proverbs. I’ve read the book multiple times and I’m sure I’ll read it many more times through out my life. Why? Because the book of Proverbs has wisdom. Not just wisdom as defined above, but 𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆 wisdom. Only those who seek the heart of God will be able to identify His wisdom, and, more importantly, live it.

If we just read Proverbs, or even the Bible, simply as an instruction manual (tell me what I should do and what I shouldn’t do) we will miss the gold of its intent; 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒐𝒅.

Why did I define wisdom, knowledge, and understanding? Because oftentimes, in the Christian circles, I see these 3 words used interchangeably and they are definitely not synonyms. They are each important attributes to have, but above every one of them is Divine wisdom. One that we are encouraged to ask God for (James 1:5).

To live our lives, experiencing the full breathe of the 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔, requires we walk in God’s wisdom, Divine wisdom. Knowing, seeing, feeling things that He does would surely allow us to walk through this life with more ease, fulfilling the promises of Jesus by experiencing an 𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒕 life filled with 𝒋𝒐𝒚, 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆, and 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆.

Read the scriptures with new 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒛 and a new 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕. One that longs to know who God is – and not simply what He wants us to do. Your relationship with Him will 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒓 than you ever thought possible, you’ll receive 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 that will leave you speechless, and it’ll be easier to 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 out because you’ll be able to see and feel from 𝐆𝗼𝐝’𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞.

𝐏𝐫𝗼𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 24:3-7

“Wise people are builders— they build families, businesses, communities. And through intelligence and insight their enterprises are established and endure.

Because of their skilled leadership the hearts of people are filled with the treasures of wisdom and the pleasures of spiritual wealth.

Wisdom can make anyone into a mighty warrior, and revelation-knowledge increases strength. Wise strategy is necessary to wage war, and with many astute advisers you’ll see the path to victory more clearly. Wisdom is a treasure too lofty for a quarreling fool— he’ll have nothing to say when leaders gather together.”
