When I saw this, it hit me hard.

God prefers this from me than me pretending to be someone I’m not.

💪🏼 I’m not always strong.
💔My feelings do get hurt.
🤷🏼‍♀️Sometimes I have no idea what I’m doing or where I’m going.
😔At times I feel lonely even when I’m surrounded by people that I know love me.
🥸I worry about what people think – sometimes more than I’d like.
🥴My past gets to me more than I’d like it to every once in a while.

When these things happen, my prayers look like this picture. Words don’t do. In those moments it’s “God search my heart and do what you gotta do in me.”

God, our Father, doesn’t need your fancy prayer. He wants your heart. He wants your surrender. Because it’s in that place that He can overwhelm you with His glorious and life-changing love.

Prayers like this allow God to love and satisfy us in ways no human can. Let Him love you.
