Feeling unseen or unheard?
Honor – a word that has been sitting on my heart for the last few days.
We tend to judge by what we can see with our physical eyes and tend to honor those with cool spiritual gifts – like healing, deliverance, prophecy, words of knowledge, etc. We place these people on pedestals when, really, they did nothing but receive a gift. It’s not from them, but from God.
There are those who have integrity, character, and wisdom. Those tend to be honored less because their gift doesn’t come with a lot of glitter. These tend not to care because they don’t want the pedastal. Those on pedestal’s have somewhere to fall from.
Spiritual gifts are awesome, but they tend to present themselves with things the physical eye can see.
Fruit – on the other hand – deals with the inside of a person. It’s what God can see. Those who desire to see with the eyes and heart of God honor those who reflect Him well.
May we honor people for who they are, not what they do.
Lets honor people who demonstrate more than they talk.
We should honor gifts, but we should also honor fruit.
Gifts with no fruit production are weeds. Eventually, they get plucked.
Honor… I’ll continue to sit on this word. Meditate on what God has to say about it.
I honor everyone, but there’s a special place in my heart for those who live the word and don’t just talk about it.
There’s a special place in my heart for those who give all of themselves for the Kingdom of God, but don’t post it all over social media for accolades.
Those who love and serve without caring about a public platform or popularity, have a special place in my heart.
