God’s good work in you began when He created you. I know at times it doesn’t seem like it, but God’s been moving on your behalf your entire life.

You were born in His image, but with the pressures of the fallen world, somewhere along the way His image began to dim. That has never stopped your God from moving to keep you connected to Him so that you can live and express His image while here on Earth.

CONNECTION. RELATIONSHIP. INTIMACY.

These are all things that God desires with you. He REDEEMED you so that you would be RECONCILED to Him. What does that mean? Whatever you did during the course of your life that caused you to walk in the opposite direction to God resulting in His image in you to dim, no longer has power over you. FORGIVENESS was poured out. All you have to do it turn to Jesus.

Reconciliation is RESTORED RELATIONSHIP. That’s the desire of God’s heart for you. He wants your relationship with Him to be restored…and then strengthened.

His GOOD WORK is in you. How? Because his Spirit is in you. And He is good.

In this verse, Paul was confident that God would continue His good work in you. I, too, am confident He will.

Are you? Do you trust that God started and will continue to work in your life?

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
