To lift someone up, doesn’t mean we need to knock another down.
While I desire that women be given equal opportunity, especially in the Church, I do not believe that comes at the expense of men. We do not need to tear down men to lift women up.
Equality is equality. To known down one to build up another is not equality. It only continues to perpetuate inequality – it just changes who is the oppressed party.
I am determined to help shatter, and, completely eliminate, the glass ceiling in the Church, but I will not do that at the expense of men. Men and women, together, express the full image and likeness of God. Men can’t do it alone. Women can’t do it alone. We can, however, do it together.
The wholeness of divine creation will always be my goal as it ushers in God’s desire for Earth and mankind. That is the best thing I can do to help contribute to the betterment of the world.
Join me! Let’s build each other up. Let’s cheer each other on. We are all working toward expanding God’s Kingdom. United, as one Body, we can do it. Jesus made sure of it.
Love,
Andrea John
